Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Schenker in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henri Weiss prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonello Henseler made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Alois Zihler sent off a good shot on target. John Schenker struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Henri Weiss didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1. FC Vatikan. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alois Zihler got free with Leonello Henseler in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alois Zihler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonello Henseler having to interfere. Baptiste Maurer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Leonello Henseler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alois Zihler in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leonello Henseler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Henri Weiss came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by 1. FC Vatikan's John Schenker. But to his dismay, John Schenker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baptiste Maurer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leonello Henseler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baptiste Maurer, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 1. FC Vatikan's Leonello Henseler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baptiste Maurer in the 55th minute of play. Patrice Niederberger kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Hasso Studer hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Fc Schönenwerd's Henri Weiss got control of the ball when John Schenker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alois Zihler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
