LLoyd Stübi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Mauritz Mehrtens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Emilio Jeanneret reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mauritz Mehrtens. The goal made the score 1-0. If Gilberto Vonwyl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, FC Glarus's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Schweizer came free, but Leopoldo Zihler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Vonwyl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Glarus's Leopoldo Zihler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Vonwyl in the 29th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Emilio Jeanneret recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mauritz Mehrtens. Emilio Jeanneret showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. With a little luck, sswwiitt's Mauritz Mehrtens got control of the ball when Emilio Jeanneret tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilberto Vonwyl kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, sswwiitt's goal looked a bit too open when LLoyd Stübi came free, but Mauritz Mehrtens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dany Wermelinger in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Zihler saved FC Glarus from getting behind. Torsten Schweizer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Simjon Gruenigen took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Mauritz Mehrtens to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Jeanneret to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FC Glarus getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. LLoyd Stübi hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the game, FC Glarus's LLoyd Stübi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauritz Mehrtens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Leopoldo Zihler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Vonwyl in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by LLoyd Stübi in the 73rd minute of play forced sswwiitt's goalkeeper Mauritz Mehrtens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Emilio Jeanneret made a precise shot to the right of Mauritz Mehrtens. sswwiitt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. If Emilio Jeanneret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in sswwiitt's zone, Gereon Camiscia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauritz Mehrtens came out of the goal and Gereon Camiscia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gilberto Vonwyl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes FC Glarus got a freekick which was hit by Simjon Gruenigen. Gilberto Vonwyl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Zihler having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Glarus had played much better football throughout.
