Spectators: 8458 (Terracing: 6344, Seating: 1945, VIP seats: 169) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Stuart Barbonetti made the kick off which started today's match. Tage Staff charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tage Staff the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Tage Staff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, Stuart Barbonetti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mick Doucet. Apfelbaum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stuart Barbonetti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Apfelbaum's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Baraglia came free, but Mick Doucet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Dario Finger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mick Doucet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Mick Doucet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Finger in the 16th minute of play. Mick Doucet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Baraglia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mick Doucet came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaun's Lars Baraglia. But to his dismay, Lars Baraglia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 23 minutes into the game, one of Apfelbaum:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 30 minutes into the match, Dario Finger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mick Doucet. Apfelbaum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dario Finger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 35th match minute, Apfelbaum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tage Staff to maneuver through the defense. After 37 minutes of play, Apfelbaum's Nico Gerste made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynold Steinger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mick Doucet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Barbonetti in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half Jaun were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jaun's Sepp Goffredo was substituted for Lars Baraglia. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nico Gerste stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jochen Baertschi kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Reynold Steinger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrich Wiler in the 60th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dario Finger during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Apfelbaum booed when Jaun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Finger didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Jaun's Stuart Barbonetti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Barbonetti in the 72nd minute of play forced Apfelbaum's goalkeeper Mick Doucet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mick Doucet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dario Finger in the 74th minute. Apfelbaum's Mick Doucet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sepp Goffredo in the 75th minute of play. If Ulrich Wiler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Sepp Goffredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mick Doucet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mick Doucet was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Stuart Barbonetti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stuart Barbonetti really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. Jaun's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
