Leopoldo Zihler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Widodo Puang, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Widodo Puang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Zihler. FC Glarus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Widodo Puang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Kenneth Lejeune hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Emilio Jeanneret scored 3-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mick Doucet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Widodo Puang to strike the kick off in the second half.
