After a defensive mix-up in Ticino Patriots's zone, Augustin Heinzmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roth Sommer came out of the goal and Augustin Heinzmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ticino Patriots's Roth Sommer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clint Paly in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute Edward Zbytniewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roth Sommer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Ticino Patriots's goal looked a bit too open when Clint Paly came free, but Roth Sommer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Alberto Hofstetter made a precise shot to the right of Roth Sommer. Ticino Patriots's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Roth Sommer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clint Paly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Brütten's goal looked a bit too open when Justo Jerano came free, but Yan Fossati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Zbytniewski in the 31st minute of play forced Ticino Patriots's goalkeeper Roth Sommer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cedric Gauch lost his temper 33 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ticino Patriots! After 37 played minutes Ticino Patriots got a freekick which was hit by Mike Robert. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edward Zbytniewski was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ticino Patriots's goalkeeper Roth Sommer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clint Paly. A nice corner shot did that Earnest Höltschi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roth Sommer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alberto Hofstetter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Roth Sommer made a huge save. Yan Fossati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauã Paes in the 58th minute of the match. Ticino Patriots's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kauã Paes in the 59th minute. Roth Sommer was a little too slow when Clint Paly got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-4. Roth Sommer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Hofstetter went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Kauã Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Fossati having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Augustin Heinzmann made a precise shot to the right of Roth Sommer. Ticino Patriots's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. 85 minutes into the match, Earnest Höltschi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roth Sommer. Ticino Patriots's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Earnest Höltschi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Clint Paly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ticino Patriots's Roth Sommer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Zbytniewski in the 94th minute of play. Brütten's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
