Frederic Van Der Heijden made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Medero Gadea sent off a good shot on target. RealBJK's Frederic Van Der Heijden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raik Topuz in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to Olympique Fribourg getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Fred Stutz hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Stutz got free with Frederic Van Der Heijden in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alwin Cavegn kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Téo Savion struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Frederic Van Der Heijden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympique Fribourg. Téo Savion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Frederic Van Der Heijden made a huge save. In the 26th minute of the match, Téo Savion got a very nice opportunity to score, but Frederic Van Der Heijden was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Téo Savion could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Frederic Van Der Heijden however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raik Topuz in the 36th minute of play forced RealBJK's goalkeeper Frederic Van Der Heijden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Téo Savion got free with Frederic Van Der Heijden in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frederic Van Der Heijden didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Medero Gadea went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 46 played minutes RealBJK got a freekick which was hit by Renald Lazarev. Frederic Van Der Heijden was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Raik Topuz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Raik Topuz really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raik Topuz to make the kick off. Frederic Van Der Heijden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raik Topuz in the 57th minute of play. Frederic Van Der Heijden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Savion in the 65th minute of the match. Alain Strobel was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. After 77 played minutes RealBJK got a freekick which was hit by Alain Strobel. After a defensive mix-up in RealBJK's zone, Marcellus Walpert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederic Van Der Heijden came out of the goal and Marcellus Walpert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eduard Oderholz hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Mehmet Çağrı Canpolat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gene Emmenegger hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When Fred Stutz came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Olympique Fribourg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Stutz couldn't finish the play. Frederic Van Der Heijden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Savion, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute, Téo Savion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 98 minutes into the match, RealBJK's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Savion came free, but Frederic Van Der Heijden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Olympique Fribourg had played much better football throughout.
