Ticino Patriots's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Traian Platon fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ticino Patriots's protests and gave Traian Platon a yellow card for diving instead. Traian Platon hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. FK CRVENA ZVEZDA's attentive Giovanni Diederich managed to snatch the ball when Gabriele Bilodeau made a throw-in in the 25th minute of the game. Henri Holmström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Robert in the 26th minute of play.
