Tobias von Planta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olof Bolla in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, THE MANIACS 1987's goal looked a bit too open when Quirino Rauber came free, but Sammy Fuerst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias von Planta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Battisti in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match, Xander Coenens tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tobias von Planta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Castagnola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Thanks to some nice moves Olof Bolla could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Tobias von Planta however easily saved by the left post. THE MANIACS 1987 were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Castagnola's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciro Battisti took the corner. Olof Bolla came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tobias von Planta could save by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Tobias von Planta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xander Coenens in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Castagnola's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Battisti came free, but Tobias von Planta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias von Planta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Battisti in the 55th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on THE MANIACS 1987's corner Ciro Battisti fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tobias von Planta quite easily take care of the ball. In the 61st minute, Aaron Kost hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, THE MANIACS 1987's goal looked a bit too open when Tomasz Imbor came free, but Sammy Fuerst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias von Planta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof Bolla in the 67th minute of play. Olof Bolla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias von Planta having to interfere. Tobias von Planta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremie Kreienbühl, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quirino Rauber got free with Sammy Fuerst in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Helge Macchia scored 1-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sammy Fuerst, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of THE MANIACS 1987 booed when Castagnola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thommy Beckenbauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Castagnola's Tobias von Planta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Bolla in the 86th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Olof Bolla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Tobias von Planta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ciro Battisti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Tobias von Planta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sammy Fuerst made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Marino in the 93rd minute.
