Spectators: 9229 (Terracing: 6923, Seating: 2123, VIP seats: 183) In the 3rdth minute of the game Evgeniy Babich who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Rio Tinto's Gus Bösch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dominik Cascarella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lajoie having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Evgeniy Babich made a precise shot to the right of Gus Bösch. FC Rio Tinto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Gus Bösch made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Tudor Caragea sent off a good shot on target. FC Werdenberg's Manuel Lajoie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rainer Marthaler in the 20th minute of play. Gus Bösch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evgeniy Babich in the 22nd minute of play. Gus Bösch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evgeniy Babich, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Manuel Lajoie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Cascarella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Oswin Urfer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lazarus Kurmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, FC Werdenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Oswin Urfer came free, but Manuel Lajoie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswin Urfer in the 45th minute of play forced FC Werdenberg's goalkeeper Manuel Lajoie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gus Bösch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Volker Unger in the 46th minute of play. Gus Bösch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Volker Unger, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. If Colin Verreau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Dominik Cascarella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Manuel Lajoie made a huge save. In the 53rd minute of the match, Colin Verreau got a very nice opportunity to score, but Manuel Lajoie was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 56 minutes, Colin Verreau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Rio Tinto and the FC Werdenberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Colin Verreau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Evgeniy Babich came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the FC Werdenberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evgeniy Babich couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Evgeniy Babich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gus Bösch came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Werdenberg's Tudor Caragea. But to his dismay, Tudor Caragea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Oswin Urfer's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Manuel Lajoie firmly grabbed it by the left post. 80 minutes into the match, FC Rio Tinto's goal looked a bit too open when Tudor Caragea came free, but Gus Bösch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, FC Werdenberg's goalkeeper Manuel Lajoie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oswin Urfer. In the 83rd minute, Evgeniy Babich ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gus Bösch was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. FC Werdenberg were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after FC Rio Tinto's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Simon Gunnarsson took the corner. Gökmen Uzkan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tudor Caragea in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gus Bösch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There was no doubt that FC Werdenberg were the better team. FC Werdenberg's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
