When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Othello Simon sped through Fire Devils's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olaf Geiger. 47 minutes into the match, FC BAYBURT's goalkeeper Jiang Shu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iosif Vornic.

Fire Devils's Benjamin Kreyenbühl was substituted for Robin Andermatt. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zlatko Ibrahimović to strike the kick off in the second half. Jiang Shu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zlatko Ibrahimović, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Othello Simon might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olaf Geiger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Othello Simon ran back to his position shaking his head. Othello Simon in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Olaf Geiger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alexander Weigl made a great header on FC BAYBURT's corner, it was just that Fire Devils's Olaf Geiger managed to reach the ball for a save. The corner led Fire Devils's Samuel Giger to fire away a dangerous shot which Jiang Shu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatko Ibrahimović in the 80th minute of play forced FC BAYBURT's goalkeeper Jiang Shu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
