Espen Steelers's Fabian Honauer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kryspin Raflewski in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kryspin Raflewski in the 6th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Fabian Honauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Honauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Loewe in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Nathaniel Howald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabian Honauer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 13th minute Kryspin Raflewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Honauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Liver Bird's goal looked a bit too open when Alain Berset came free, but Stig Verlengia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Timoteo Kuhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Giacometti charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Giacometti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute of the match, Williams Imholz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Stig Verlengia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Espen Steelers were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Liver Bird's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberto Giacometti took the corner. Fabian Honauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pat Eggers in the 32nd minute of play. With his leg Stig Verlengia managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Espen Steelers's Alain Berset fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alain Berset could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Stig Verlengia made a huge save. Liver Bird's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pat Eggers in the 41st minute. Pat Eggers made a great header on Liver Bird's corner, it was just that Espen Steelers's Fabian Honauer managed to reach the ball for a save. 44 minutes into the game, Kryspin Raflewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liver Bird's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espen Steelers the free kick. A collision led to Liver Bird getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kryspin Raflewski hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Espen Steelers made a substitution. Hassan Schürch replaced Alberto Giacometti. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alain Berset made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alain Berset in the 64th minute of play forced Liver Bird's goalkeeper Stig Verlengia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kryspin Raflewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabian Honauer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. If Rogelio Montez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liver Bird's Jacques La Rosa was substituted for Gunnar Fridli. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Stan Wawrinka replaced Rogelio Montez. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raffaelo Berger in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stig Verlengia saved Liver Bird from getting behind. With a little luck, Espen Steelers's Fabian Honauer got control of the ball when Timoteo Kuhn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ingo Minder hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Ingo Minder got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes, Liver Bird's Jacques La Rosa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabian Honauer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Liver Bird reached it. Espen Steelers's Fabian Honauer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clinton Werfel in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute Clinton Werfel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Honauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Ingo Minder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Kuhn got free with Fabian Honauer in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Timoteo Kuhn in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fabian Honauer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Stan Wawrinka scored 1-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stig Verlengia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Espen Steelers's Fabian Honauer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clinton Werfel in the 96th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
