Politehnica Iasi's Roderik Valckeners played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Loremans in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Bernt De Vreese was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Politehnica Iasi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Lowingen the free kick. A collision led to Politehnica Iasi getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. In the 44th minute, Pino Hensmans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Sylvan Van Achter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pino Hensmans's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. SK Lowingen's Harald Van Dongel got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Louis De Peuter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Pino Hensmans came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Politehnica Iasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pino Hensmans couldn't finish the play. Roderik Valckeners took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Loremans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pino Hensmans in the 99th minute of play forced SK Lowingen's goalkeeper Sylvan Van Achter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
