After 11 played minutes, Sporting Zaffelare's Soren Paelinck shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Glen Aerts came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sporting Zaffelare reached it. Jaques Limu charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaques Limu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot 17 in the game by Yannis Kortens from a close distance when the talented Glen Aerts managed to make a qualified save. Beervelde's players were relieved. Yannis Kortens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Jammy Colebinders left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beervelde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jammy Colebinders's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Steve Van Der Straeten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Beervelde's Glen Aerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Goris in the 35th minute of play. Yannis Kortens in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Glen Aerts, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 41 minutes into the match, Wesley Van Eijcke notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sporting Zaffelare's Steve Van Der Straeten. Steve Van Der Straeten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 52nd minute, Patrick Verhulst reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Steve Van Der Straeten. The goal made the score 0-3. Glen Aerts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yannis Kortens's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Sven Meertens hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th match minute, Beervelde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Meertens to maneuver through the defense. Beervelde's Glen Aerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Refugio Edmondson in the 60th minute of play. After some careless play in the Beervelde defense, Refugio Edmondson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Glen Aerts. The Beervelde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Glen Aerts should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Jammy Colebinders took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Steve Van Der Straeten to make any attempt to save it. Yannis Kortens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glen Aerts having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Beervelde's goal looked a bit too open when Yannis Kortens came free, but Glen Aerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Sporting Zaffelare's goal looked a bit too open when Jammy Colebinders came free, but Steve Van Der Straeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 played minutes Beervelde got a freekick which was hit by Wesley Van Eijcke. Sporting Zaffelare made a substitution. Artem Krohmal replaced Refugio Edmondson. Steve Van Der Straeten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jammy Colebinders, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yannis Kortens in the 92nd minute of play forced Beervelde's goalkeeper Glen Aerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glen Aerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yannis Kortens in the 95th minute of play.
