When FC Sint-Truiden's Sebbe Van Linthoudt in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ledegem's goalie prevented a goal. 13 minutes into the game, Ledegem's Stijn Le Lion nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lennart Verengen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Sebbe Van Linthoudt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Renzo Van de Leest tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Sint-Truiden booed when Ledegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pieterjan Van Meerbeec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stijn Le Lion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Verengen having to interfere. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Sebbe Van Linthoudt sped through Ledegem's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Renzo Van de Leest. In the 69th minute, Ief De Scheper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Ledegem's goal looked a bit too open when Ief De Scheper came free, but Renzo Van de Leest reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lennart Verengen had great luck who in the 72ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Roni Winnepennincx from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. If Roni Winnepennincx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roni Winnepennincx in the 87th minute of play forced FC Sint-Truiden's goalkeeper Lennart Verengen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stijn Le Lion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Roni Winnepennincx fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in FC Sint-Truiden's zone, Stijn Le Lion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennart Verengen came out of the goal and Stijn Le Lion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Sint-Truiden were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ledegem for a fine match.
