But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gill Justus couldn't finish the play. If Ivo Neefs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Neefs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, KVV Zelzate's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Neefs came free, but Will De Boeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Van Hoeij showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gill Justus in the 20th minute of the match. Jozef Renso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Van Hoeij having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, KVV Zelzate's goalkeeper Will De Boeck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jules Van Linthout. When FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's Ivo Neefs in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KVV Zelzate's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 33 minutes, Jules Van Linthout managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jules Van Linthout was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Reemy Hoeybroeck fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KVV Zelzate's protests and gave Reemy Hoeybroeck a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KVV Zelzate getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Reemy Hoeybroeck hit a great ball. 35 minutes in the game, Ivo Neefs fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Will De Boeck having to interfere. With a little luck, KVV Zelzate's Will De Boeck got control of the ball when Jules Van Linthout tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dirk Van Beersel's late challenge caught a KVV Zelzate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dirk Van Beersel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Dirk Van Beersel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 48 played minutes KVV Zelzate got a freekick which was hit by Jozef Renso. Jules Van Linthout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Will De Boeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivo Neefs to strike the kick off in the second half. Jozef Renso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. William Van Hoeij tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jozef Renso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without William Van Hoeij having to make a save. After 64 minutes, Jules Van Linthout made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. KVV Zelzate's Will De Boeck tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Geoffry Visch hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's Lorenzo Lanphant in action when he in the 70th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! During the 71st minute of the match Reemy Hoeybroeck completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Reemy Hoeybroeck a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Will De Boeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jules Van Linthout, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute, Gill Justus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 77 minutes of play, FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing's Jules Van Linthout made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Will De Boeck was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mathijs Lyens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will De Boeck having to interfere. FC Frasnes-lez-Anvaing were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of KVV Zelzate for a fine match.
