Fernand Lanckneus's late challenge caught a FC Bayardii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernand Lanckneus helped the player get up and apologised. If Nicolas Slegers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Bayardii's Oscar Verschelde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Slegers in the 14th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Nicolas Slegers made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Bayardii's Oscar Verschelde tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eric Depauw took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oscar Verschelde. FC Bayardii's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Nicolas Slegers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Bayardii's Diederick Morreels got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amaury Du Molin in the 31st minute of play forced FC Bayardii's goalkeeper Oscar Verschelde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jannic Krabbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Nelleboedske having to interfere. If Jannic Krabbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolas Slegers to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bayardii's zone, Nicolas Slegers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Verschelde came out of the goal and Nicolas Slegers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Amaury Du Molin came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the KVM2008 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amaury Du Molin couldn't finish the play. Oscar Verschelde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Slegers in the 55th minute of the match. Nicolas Slegers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Verschelde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Slegers in the 62nd minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Guust Van Hoght ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julius Nelleboedske was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Oscar Verschelde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolas Slegers's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 80thth minute of the game Tibo De Block who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KVM2008's Julius Nelleboedske was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Tibo De Block left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Bayardii fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Jannic Krabbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. KVM2008's Julius Nelleboedske played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibo De Block in the 90th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as KVM2008's Nicolas Slegers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oscar Verschelde. That made the score 2-2 after 92 minutes of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
