The supporters of KVM2008 booed when KSV Ramillies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryan Peten didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Amaury Du Molin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, KSV Ramillies's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Slegers came free, but Sam Callaerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 played minutes KVM2008 got a freekick which was hit by Robert Verstuyft. Christoph Baumans was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Joachim Imbrechts came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the KSV Ramillies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joachim Imbrechts couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute Jarno Van De Putts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julius Nelleboedske saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julius Nelleboedske made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarno Van De Putts in the 34th minute of play. Eric Depauw kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Joachim Imbrechts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Julius Nelleboedske tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sam Callaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Slegers, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. If Nicolas Slegers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joachim Imbrechts made a kick off. After a rather tough play, KSV Ramillies's Harold Dechamps got a free kick in the 54th minute. Fernand Lanckneus kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, KVM2008 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Verstuyft to maneuver through the defense. Joachim Imbrechts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarno Van De Putts got free with Julius Nelleboedske in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the game, one of KVM2008:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Julius Nelleboedske, was totally fooled by KSV Ramillies's Christoph Baumans, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jarno Van De Putts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julius Nelleboedske read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Imbrechts in the 81st minute of play forced KVM2008's goalkeeper Julius Nelleboedske to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarno Van De Putts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sam Callaerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amaury Du Molin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ron Maes's late challenge caught a KSV Ramillies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ron Maes helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes KVM2008 got a freekick which was hit by Ron Maes. Jarno Van De Putts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Julius Nelleboedske tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The KSV Ramillies players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
