Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jurgen Rouvroye got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Koen Lembrechts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. vg-boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bilzen Youth Academy the free kick. In the 4th minute, Koen Lembrechts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bilzen Youth Academy's Dominik Candries shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 6th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Albertus Bouman but with some difficulty. When Herald Ooms fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored vg-boys's protests and gave Herald Ooms a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes vg-boys got a freekick which was hit by Herald Ooms. 10 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when vg-boys's Jurgen Rouvroye fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Paulus Van Looy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artuur De Vlaeminck, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Jurgen Rouvroye cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Paulus Van Looy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Artuur De Vlaeminck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulus Van Looy was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. If Jurgen Rouvroye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jurgen Rouvroye's late challenge caught a Bilzen Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jurgen Rouvroye helped the player get up and apologised. Albertus Bouman was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Jos Van Dongel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jos Van Dongel really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After having played for 45 minutes, Jurgen Rouvroye managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. vg-boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jurgen Rouvroye was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 51st match minute, vg-boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guust Van Eynde to maneuver through the defense. Bilzen Youth Academy's Paulus Van Looy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurgen Rouvroye in the 54th minute of play. When Anthonio Van Houdtvin came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Bilzen Youth Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthonio Van Houdtvin couldn't finish the play. Jurgen Rouvroye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulus Van Looy having to interfere. Paulus Van Looy made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Artuur De Vlaeminck sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jurgen Rouvroye in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulus Van Looy saved Bilzen Youth Academy from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in vg-boys's zone, Philippe Depelsmaker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertus Bouman came out of the goal and Philippe Depelsmaker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Anthonio Van Houdtvin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bilzen Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthonio Van Houdtvin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The vg-boys supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing vg-boys would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
