Matteo Keuppens charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matteo Keuppens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Johnny Bastin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Ruttens in the 43rd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 72nd minute, Arianna's Marc Van den Berghe seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marc Van den Berghe the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Arianna protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marc Van den Berghe had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 72 minutes into the game, one of Arianna:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hendrik Verheugen kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Arianna got a freekick which was hit by Jasper De Custer. In the 80th minute of the match Michiel Geest sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenn Lanckneus skillfully saved the ball. In the 92nd minute, Nicky Gyselinck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kenn Lanckneus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xander-Paul Van haeck in the 95th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, VC Lizerne's Ray Van Meenen got a free kick in the 98th minute.
