Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Raymond Van Hecke made the kick off which started today's match. Teo Coekelbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steffen Vanderhaege having to interfere. Nicolas Kerstens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in VC Tginee's zone, Andries Lingier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steffen Vanderhaege came out of the goal and Andries Lingier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Matias Van den Maegdenbergh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolvertem-Merchtem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Van den Maegdenbergh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Nicolas Kerstens came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Wolvertem-Merchtem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Kerstens couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andries Lingier during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Andries Lingier hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Jannes Meulemans made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Kenney Lanphant sent off a good shot on target. Andries Lingier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andries Lingier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wolvertem-Merchtem's Teo Coekelbergh got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the game, Teo Coekelbergh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Steffen Vanderhaege was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andries Lingier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the game, one of VC Tginee:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teo Coekelbergh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Teo Coekelbergh ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Steffen Vanderhaege managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Wolvertem-Merchtem's Teo Coekelbergh fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Andries Lingier came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Wolvertem-Merchtem fans jumped to their feet. Teo Coekelbergh's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Steffen Vanderhaege skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Frank Elssen hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Marnix Walters's late challenge caught a Wolvertem-Merchtem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marnix Walters helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, VC Tginee's Marnix Walters got a free kick in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Van Hecke in the 80th minute of play forced Wolvertem-Merchtem's goalkeeper Jannes Meulemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Andries Lingier made a precise shot to the right of Steffen Vanderhaege. VC Tginee's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 85th minute Raymond Van Hecke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Meulemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Matias Van den Maegdenbergh reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Steffen Vanderhaege. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 94th minute, Wolvertem-Merchtem's Nicolas Kerstens dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Wolvertem-Merchtem's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
