Steffen Vanderhaege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Van Meensel in the 26th minute of the match. VC Tginee's Steffen Vanderhaege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mitch Velkeneers in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitch Velkeneers in the 30th minute of play forced VC Tginee's goalkeeper Steffen Vanderhaege to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steffen Vanderhaege stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herbert Van Meensel's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Mitch Velkeneers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. If Raymond Van Hecke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walderdonk's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
