After 5 played minutes FC Nieuwpoort got a freekick which was hit by Robbrecht Maerschalks. In the 6th minute Robin Van de Weijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dolf Ivens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AC Pussemange's Boudewijn Gobbelijns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeff Van Den Wijngaert in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, AC Pussemange's goalkeeper Boudewijn Gobbelijns had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joe Geijselinckx. In the 11thth minute of the game Jens De Maijer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Nieuwpoort's Dolf Ivens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dolf Ivens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens De Maijer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renaud Valckenaers in the 15th minute of play forced AC Pussemange's goalkeeper Boudewijn Gobbelijns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dolf Ivens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas-Jan Van hoeijveld, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Joe Geijselinckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boudewijn Gobbelijns having to interfere. Jens De Maijer scored 1-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dolf Ivens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Renaud Valckenaers made the kick off in the second half. AC Pussemange's Jens De Maijer was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 56th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Nieuwpoort's Joe Geijselinckx got a free kick in the 67th minute. Dolf Ivens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens De Maijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the game, one of AC Pussemange:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 82 minutes into the match, Joe Geijselinckx notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of AC Pussemange's Boudewijn Gobbelijns. Boudewijn Gobbelijns was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dolf Ivens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens De Maijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After 93 played minutes AC Pussemange got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Heijligem.
