With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renaud Valckenaers in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bert Waeberghe saved Fc Mancunians from getting behind. If Samuel Kempenaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dolf Ivens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charlie Vissenaekens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dolf Ivens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Vissenaekens in the 13th minute of play. Tim Van Deinze kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Tomm De Ketelaere was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc Mancunians's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Nieuwpoort the free kick. A collision led to Fc Mancunians getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Dolf Ivens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Reijdams, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Charlie Vissenaekens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Mancunians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charlie Vissenaekens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charlie Vissenaekens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeff Van Den Wijngaert during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in FC Nieuwpoort's zone, Hugo Reijdams stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dolf Ivens came out of the goal and Hugo Reijdams tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renaud Valckenaers to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Fc Mancunians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rob De Coninck to maneuver through the defense.
