After a rather tough play, Herk-de-Stad 's Arnauld van Haecht got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Teun Tilemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willy Wyns got free with Jerom Castermans in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jerom Castermans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Willy Wyns in the 96th minute. Chants of Herk-de-Stad echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Waalshoek had held the ball for most of the match.
