Willem Wolfs charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willem Wolfs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Annekenshoek's Willem Wolfs got a free kick in the 5th minute. A hard shot by Stephan Geest from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Tomas Van Goethem's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 13th match minute, RSC Izier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorne Gyselinckx to maneuver through the defense. Tijs Moreau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augustijn Reijckmans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Gillis De Weijngaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Augustijn Reijckmans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Marnix Callaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. RSC Izier's supporters rose to their feet, but Marnix Callaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Van Goethem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Augustijn Reijckmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tijs Moreau in the 35th minute of play. Augustijn Reijckmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gillis De Weijngaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Annekenshoek's Jeremy Jennes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicolaas Godet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marnix Callaerts in the 52nd minute of play forced Annekenshoek's goalkeeper Tomas Van Goethem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolaas Godet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tomas Van Goethem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Victor Sas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Annekenshoek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RSC Izier the free kick. If Nicolaas Godet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Nicolaas Godet notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Annekenshoek's Tomas Van Goethem. Tomas Van Goethem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Marnix Callaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gillis De Weijngaert struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Augustijn Reijckmans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Annekenshoek. 72 minutes into the match, RSC Izier's goal looked a bit too open when Tijs Moreau came free, but Augustijn Reijckmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
