Spectators: 7550 (Terracing: 5664, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 150) F.C. Zegelsem's Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gwenn Ooms received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Phillipe Van der Poorten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phillipe Van der Poorten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Wollans in the 5th minute of play. Gwenn Ooms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillipe Van der Poorten having to interfere. The F.C. Zegelsem fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when F.C. Zegelsem's Levi Terwenhout looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Peter Justens's late challenge caught a Bertrix's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Justens helped the player get up and apologised. Peter Justens kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. If Steffe Bernardts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remie Sielens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Brain Breugelmans kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remie Sielens came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. Zegelsem's Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele. But to his dismay, Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 38th minute, Bavo Rutgeerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele in the 42nd minute of play forced Bertrix's goalkeeper Remie Sielens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remie Sielens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levi Terwenhout in the 44th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Leon Wollans made the kick off in the second half. Levi Terwenhout struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Remie Sielens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Zegelsem. In the 60th minute of the match, Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Remie Sielens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bertrix's Leon Wollans got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remie Sielens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Bertrix's zone, Bavo Rutgeerts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remie Sielens came out of the goal and Bavo Rutgeerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Levi Terwenhout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Remie Sielens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remie Sielens was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jeoffrey Van Den Abeele really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After having played for 78 minutes, Gwenn Ooms managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bertrix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gwenn Ooms was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th match minute, F.C. Zegelsem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bavo Rutgeerts to maneuver through the defense. Remie Sielens made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Levi Terwenhout sent off a good shot on target. Peter Justens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Remie Sielens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bertrix's zone, Levi Terwenhout stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remie Sielens came out of the goal and Levi Terwenhout tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
