Spectators: 7412 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 30) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Matthy Rompen started the match with the kick off. When Steve Van Meensel fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leffe's protests and gave Steve Van Meensel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th match minute, Leffe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Van Meensel to maneuver through the defense. Peter-Jan Declercq received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Seppe Steuckens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathieux De Bisschop hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Matthy Rompen struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Florian Van Hespe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leffe. After 16 played minutes FC Arisdonck got a freekick which was hit by Levi Fierens. FC Arisdonck's Florian Van Hespe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthy Rompen in the 17th minute of play. If Christiaan Van de Poel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Levi Fierens hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 28th play minute Christiaan Van de Poel came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Florian Van Hespe. 1-0. After having played for 32 minutes, Yvan De Groote managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Arisdonck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yvan De Groote was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Peter-Jan Declercq shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seppe Steuckens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Yvan De Groote managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Arisdonck's supporters rose to their feet, but Yvan De Groote was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yvan De Groote was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Arisdonck's zone, Matthy Rompen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florian Van Hespe came out of the goal and Matthy Rompen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anton Snieders hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Matthy Rompen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Christiaan Van de Poel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Christiaan Van de Poel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Van Hespe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Coveliers in the 79th minute of play forced FC Arisdonck's goalkeeper Florian Van Hespe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathieux De Bisschop got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Leffe's Seppe Steuckens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Leffe from getting a goal against them. After having played for 91 minutes, Peter-Jan Declercq managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Arisdonck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter-Jan Declercq was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Christiaan Van de Poel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leffe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. There was no doubt that Leffe were the better team. Leffe's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
