The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Nickopolis's zone, Stanny Van den Panhuijsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cederique Van Steen came out of the goal and Stanny Van den Panhuijsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rajmond Maerschalk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the game, FC Schnauzers's Dyllen Tombeur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cederique Van Steen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Rajmond Maerschalk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Sean Volders sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Schnauzers's Jamie Van Hamme didn't even have to move. Jamie Van Hamme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rajmond Maerschalk in the 17th minute of play. Giovanny Henrix was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Schnauzers! Sean Volders placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Jamie Van Hamme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan De Bruijn, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Dyllen Tombeur struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Cederique Van Steen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Schnauzers. A collision led to FC Schnauzers getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Arnaud De Jonghe hit a great ball. FC Schnauzers's Dyllen Tombeur got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Dyllen Tombeur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th match minute, FC Schnauzers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matty Claes to maneuver through the defense. Sean Volders took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jamie Van Hamme. FC Schnauzers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Stefan De Bruijn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guy Van Nel kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Nickopolis's Rajmond Maerschalk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jamie Van Hamme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Nickopolis's corner Sean Volders fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jamie Van Hamme quite easily take care of the ball. Guy Van Nel kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rajmond Maerschalk made a kick off. When Stijn Verduin fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nickopolis's protests and gave Stijn Verduin a yellow card for diving instead. Stijn Verduin kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Dyllen Tombeur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cederique Van Steen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Nickopolis's Cederique Van Steen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanny Van den Panhuijsen in the 61st minute of play. Cederique Van Steen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanny Van den Panhuijsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Dyllen Tombeur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Rajmond Maerschalk came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Nickopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rajmond Maerschalk couldn't finish the play. After recieving a nice pass, Nickopolis's Stefan De Bruijn tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaud De Jonghe in the 93rd minute of play forced Nickopolis's goalkeeper Cederique Van Steen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanny Van den Panhuijsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cederique Van Steen having to interfere. FC Schnauzers's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
