Loui Van Haeght had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Kristen Hellemons's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Serge Huijgens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Marrant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Lukas Sterckmans got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Cerva's Bertan Jansens got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 19 minutes, Lukas Sterckmans made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hemiksem's Serge Huijgens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Richard Marrant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Serge Huijgens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serge Huijgens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Marrant in the 25th minute of play. Lukas Sterckmans's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Serge Huijgens skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hemiksem's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Richard Marrant scored to the left of an out of position Serge Huijgens, making the score, 2-0. Jesse Van der Perren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th match minute, Cerva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakob Herpoel to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute of the match Kristen Hellemons sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Loui Van Haeght skillfully saved the ball. Loui Van Haeght showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesse Van der Perren in the 43rd minute of the match. Jesse Van der Perren struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Loui Van Haeght didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hemiksem. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giles Van Arschot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 76th minute of the match, Giles Van Arschot tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Loui Van Haeght saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Serge Huijgens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Marrant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giles Van Arschot in the 83rd minute of play forced Cerva's goalkeeper Loui Van Haeght to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Lukas Sterckmans notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Hemiksem's Serge Huijgens. Serge Huijgens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Serge Huijgens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Marrant, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. When Richard Marrant came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Cerva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Marrant couldn't finish the play. If Lukas Sterckmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lukas Sterckmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Cerva players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
