Anton Labrouche kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. SK Vaul-Chavanne's Casper Baele got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicky Kuppens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Louis Susters having to interfere. SK Vaul-Chavanne's Thierry Kerstens got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nicky Kuppens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicky Kuppens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Jean-Louis Susters made a huge save. Nicky Kuppens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Nicky Kuppens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute, Nicky Kuppens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, KV Blauw-zwart's goal looked a bit too open when Gust Everts came free, but Jean-Louis Susters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Thierry Kerstens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Nicky Kuppens sped through KV Blauw-zwart's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jean-Louis Susters. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Jean-Louis Susters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thierry Kerstens, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. If Thierry Kerstens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the KV Blauw-zwart defense, Nicky Kuppens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jean-Louis Susters. The KV Blauw-zwart fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jean-Louis Susters should have stopped the shot. Jean-Louis Susters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thierry Kerstens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-Louis Susters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gust Everts in the 61st minute of the match. Thierry Kerstens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean-Louis Susters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicky Kuppens in the 65th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Gust Everts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jean-Louis Susters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicky Kuppens, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Nicky Kuppens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thierry Kerstens might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jean-Louis Susters. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thierry Kerstens ran back to his position shaking his head. After 90 minutes of play, SK Vaul-Chavanne's Gust Everts made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jean-Louis Susters was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Thierry Kerstens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the SK Vaul-Chavanne players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
