In the 3rd match minute, RSCA 4-ever was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Van Eede to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to RSCA 4-ever getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Matias Gyselinx hit a great ball. If Joos Vandommele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joos Vandommele in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Louis Philippaerts saved RSCA 4-ever from getting behind. Chris-George Jaddon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Van Eede in the 10th minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Stef De Jonghe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RSCA 4-ever's Jean-Louis Philippaerts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the game, FC Axel's Gerard Roockeloos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean-Louis Philippaerts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Rein Huijbrechts charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rein Huijbrechts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes FC Axel got a freekick which was hit by Rein Huijbrechts. Adolf Klaes struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jean-Louis Philippaerts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Axel. The audience was convinced that Adolf Klaes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean-Louis Philippaerts was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Jean-Louis Philippaerts came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Axel's Joos Vandommele. But to his dismay, Joos Vandommele quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. RSCA 4-ever's Jean-Louis Philippaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Roockeloos in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of FC Axel booed when RSCA 4-ever was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loui Van Looy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 minutes RSCA 4-ever's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ramon De Strijcker who took care of the corner kick. Stef De Jonghe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Louis Philippaerts having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a little luck, FC Axel's Chris-George Jaddon got control of the ball when Armand De Marrez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thommy De Ketelaere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Axel fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Chris-George Jaddon, was totally fooled by RSCA 4-ever's Mathias Vercalsteren, who 62 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Chris-George Jaddon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Van Eede in the 65th minute of the match. Adolf Klaes kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Peter Van Eede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris-George Jaddon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Dean Van Meensel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Axel's supporters rose to their feet, but Dean Van Meensel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean-Louis Philippaerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Adolf Klaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Joos Vandommele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When FC Axel's Adolf Klaes in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RSCA 4-ever's goalie prevented a goal. Ramon De Strijcker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolf Klaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jean-Louis Philippaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thommy De Ketelaere hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, RSCA 4-ever's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Roockeloos came free, but Jean-Louis Philippaerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Axel fully deserved thier win.
