An unexpectedly hard shot by Luuk Kloots in the 3rd minute of play forced Schemersberg's goalkeeper Piet Huyghebaert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Vissenaekers hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Schemersberg's zone, Luuk Kloots stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Piet Huyghebaert came out of the goal and Luuk Kloots tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathis Calewaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remco Smets having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Lorenz Huijsmans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Piet Huyghebaert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luuk Kloots, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Lorenz Huijsmans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Piet Huyghebaert made a huge save. Merge Panch's Remco Smets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathis Calewaerts in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Merge Panch getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Arthur Gilis hit a great ball. After 46 played minutes, Schemersberg's Nils Wijgaert shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remco Smets came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Schemersberg reached it. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Luuk Kloots made the kick off in the second half. Remco Smets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joonatan Van Boxstael in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Lorenz Huijsmans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merge Panch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lorenz Huijsmans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kris de Koninck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Lorenz Huijsmans notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Schemersberg's Piet Huyghebaert. Piet Huyghebaert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luuk Kloots received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Piet Huyghebaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Merge Panch booed when Schemersberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joonatan Van Boxstael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piet Huyghebaert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenz Huijsmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 minutes, Guilian Humbelets mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merge Panch and the Schemersberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes Merge Panch got a freekick which was hit by Guilian Humbelets. In the 81st minute, Lorenz Huijsmans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merge Panch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Lorenz Huijsmans came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Merge Panch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenz Huijsmans couldn't finish the play. Mathis Calewaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remco Smets having to interfere. Luka De Metser kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Luukas Vranx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merge Panch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luukas Vranx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95thth minute of the game Lorenz Huijsmans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schemersberg's Piet Huyghebaert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Mathis Calewaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schemersberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathis Calewaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remco Smets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Merge Panch were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Schemersberg for a fine match.
