Gert-Jan De Meyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Etienne Smoors recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Etienne Smoors to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Etienne Smoors notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Vaake's Franck Bruyninckx. Franck Bruyninckx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Etienne Smoors recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. When Lenny Vermeesch fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vaake's protests and gave Lenny Vermeesch a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vaake getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Lenny Vermeesch hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Etienne Smoors in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franck Bruyninckx saved Vaake from getting behind. 83 minutes into the match, VV Deurne's goal looked a bit too open when Lenny Vermeesch came free, but Philipp Matthieu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Etienne Smoors in the 85th minute of play forced Vaake's goalkeeper Franck Bruyninckx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lenny Vermeesch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind VV Deurne's goalkeeper Philipp Matthieu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. VV Deurne were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Vaake for a fine match.
