Wakkerzeel's supporters rose to their feet, but Ben Sannen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Vranckx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeffery Valkeneers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manu Justus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 18 minutes, Ben Sannen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wakkerzeel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Sannen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manu Justus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jeffery Valkeneers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Manu Justus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manu Justus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manu Justus scored 0-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeffery Valkeneers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thildonk's Jorge Vranckx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Verheyden in the 44th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Staf Reuters had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeffery Valkeneers. Wakkerzeel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Staf Reuters was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Staf Reuters could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Jeffery Valkeneers made a huge save. Jeffery Valkeneers didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 59th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Johannes Sanders kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Manu Justus lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Jeffery Valkeneers. In the 71st minute Ben Sannen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Vranckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, one of Wakkerzeel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wakkerzeel. The referee gave Thildonk a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Frederick Deswarte, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wakkerzeel's Jeffery Valkeneers. 0-6.
