After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Kristiaan Godefroid managed to get in a good position for a shot. Park FC Houthalen's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristiaan Godefroid was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeffery Valkeneers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sergio Limpens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeffery Valkeneers having to make a save. Fredrik Verheyden hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Jeffery Valkeneers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joery Snyers, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 17th minute, Johannes Sanders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristiaan Godefroid kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Ben Sannen took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Albertus Rutgeerts to make any attempt to save it. Sean Heijligen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeffery Valkeneers having to interfere. Jeffery Valkeneers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joery Snyers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francis Keldermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertus Rutgeerts having to interfere. When Francis Keldermans came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Wakkerzeel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francis Keldermans couldn't finish the play. Joery Snyers scored 1-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeffery Valkeneers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

With a little luck, Wakkerzeel's Jeffery Valkeneers got control of the ball when Joery Snyers tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee ignored Wakkerzeel's protests and gave Johannes Sanders a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Wakkerzeel got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Sanders. Francis Keldermans took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albertus Rutgeerts. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeffery Valkeneers showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joery Snyers in the 93rd minute of play forced Wakkerzeel's goalkeeper Jeffery Valkeneers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wakkerzeel's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
