Spectators: 7245 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 5) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joachim Van Hoeijveldt started the match with the kick off. Mathias Van Impe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jeffery Swiggers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute Antoine Stoffels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenney De Maret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Greg Lijsens in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenney De Maret prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Greg Lijsens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenney De Maret having to interfere. In the 18th minute Antoine Stoffels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenney De Maret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Vic Huyghebaert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Terheidehoek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KVSK De Geite the free kick. Kenney De Maret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greg Lijsens in the 31st minute of play. KVSK De Geite's Kenney De Maret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greg Lijsens in the 33rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in KVSK De Geite's zone, Antoine Stoffels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenney De Maret came out of the goal and Antoine Stoffels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute Greg Lijsens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenney De Maret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Greg Lijsens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jeffery Swiggers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Van Hoeijveldt in the 54th minute of play. If Antoine Stoffels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Club Terheidehoek booed when KVSK De Geite was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Hendricks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernest Owerckx hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Club Terheidehoek's Christof Roose couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for KVSK De Geite. 62 minutes into the match, Antoine Stoffels notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of KVSK De Geite's Kenney De Maret. Kenney De Maret was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Greg Lijsens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenney De Maret having to interfere. After a rather tough play, KVSK De Geite's Ernest Owerckx got a free kick in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Lijsens in the 79th minute of play forced KVSK De Geite's goalkeeper Kenney De Maret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Greg Lijsens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kenney De Maret. KVSK De Geite's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Greg Lijsens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After a rather tough play, KVSK De Geite's Silvain Van de Schrieck got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Greg Lijsens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Kenney De Maret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Greg Lijsens reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kenney De Maret. The goal made the score 1-4. In the 94th minute, Club Terheidehoek's Greg Lijsens dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Joachim Van Hoeijveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
