Sergio Stuyck's late challenge caught a Therapy FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Caes might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bas Kerkhove. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas Caes ran back to his position shaking his head.

After 53 minutes of play, RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne's Nicolas Caes made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bas Kerkhove was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wesly Vercasteren charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wesly Vercasteren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 played minutes, RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne's Teun Capellemans shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bas Kerkhove came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne reached it. William Van Mellaert struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Bas Kerkhove didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne. The RSC Sint-Martens-Leerne fans cheered their team off the field, for while Therapy FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
