Spectators: 7523 (Terracing: 5643, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tristan Vervaeck took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Tristan Vervaeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaud Roussel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaud Roussel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tristan Vervaeck's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. The Vlesenbeek fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Vlesenbeek's Tristan Vervaeck looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Stefan Heers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristan Vervaeck in the 12th minute of play forced FC Diest's goalkeeper Arnaud Roussel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, FC Diest's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Heers came free, but Arnaud Roussel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Diest defense, Jeremie Huyterhoeven kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnaud Roussel. The FC Diest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnaud Roussel should have stopped the shot. After 19 minutes FC Diest's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matias Mathy who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Vlesenbeek booed when FC Diest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjorn Acke didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Tristan Vervaeck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vlesenbeek's supporters rose to their feet, but Tristan Vervaeck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaud Roussel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Claevers got free with Kris Vanhaeren in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 35 minutes into the match, Stefan Heers notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of FC Diest's Arnaud Roussel. Arnaud Roussel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to FC Diest getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Felix Van Clynenbreugel hit a great ball. Stefan Heers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaud Roussel having to interfere. Gerard Spoelberch hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute Vlesenbeek were awarded a corner. Matias Mathy went to the cornerflag to take it. After 44 played minutes FC Diest got a freekick which was hit by Michel Claevers. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gunther Gressens to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Tristan Vervaeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaud Roussel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tristan Vervaeck struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Arnaud Roussel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vlesenbeek. In the 62nd minute, Tristan Vervaeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnaud Roussel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristan Vervaeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65thth minute of the game Tristan Vervaeck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Diest's Arnaud Roussel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tristan Vervaeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Arnaud Roussel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Diest's Gerard Spoelberch got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Matias Mathy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnaud Roussel skillfully saved the ball. 73 minutes into the match, FC Diest's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Vervaeck came free, but Arnaud Roussel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Diest getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gerard Spoelberch hit a great ball. Stefan Heers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaud Roussel having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, FC Diest's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Vervaeck came free, but Arnaud Roussel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Stefan Heers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tristan Vervaeck struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Arnaud Roussel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vlesenbeek. Arnaud Roussel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan Vervaeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Stefan Heers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnaud Roussel having to make a save. Vlesenbeek's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
