But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilles Hairpoel couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Gilles Hairpoel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernd De nuijter was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Oostduinkerke's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
