Dante Adriaensens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daevy Stuijckens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmond Sellekaers having to make a save. Edmond Sellekaers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daevy Stuijckens, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Birger Michiels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FCS Pekmere's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sparta Raptors the free kick. In the 8th match minute, FCS Pekmere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger Michiels to maneuver through the defense. Floris Van Hole struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Kevin Vercammen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sparta Raptors. Sparta Raptors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Mathias Verelst scored to the left of an out of position Edmond Sellekaers, making the score, 1-0. In the 16th minute, FCS Pekmere's Daevy Stuijckens ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edmond Sellekaers. Edmond Sellekaers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With a little luck, Sparta Raptors's Edmond Sellekaers got control of the ball when Dante Adriaensens tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ward Stuckens's late challenge caught a FCS Pekmere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ward Stuckens helped the player get up and apologised. Ward Stuckens hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. FCS Pekmere's Erwin Hostyn couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sparta Raptors. 29 minutes in the game Erwin Hostyn got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. If Daevy Stuijckens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Sparta Raptors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FCS Pekmere:s goal. The goalkeeper, Edmond Sellekaers, was totally fooled by FCS Pekmere's Erwin Hostyn, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. FCS Pekmere's Kevin Vercammen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Dierickx in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Daevy Stuijckens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th match minute, Sparta Raptors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Styles to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 62 minutes, Daevy Stuijckens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCS Pekmere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daevy Stuijckens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kevin Vercammen made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Dante Dierickx sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in FCS Pekmere's zone, Dante Dierickx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Vercammen came out of the goal and Dante Dierickx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmond Sellekaers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davy de Neuyter, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After some careless play in the Sparta Raptors defense, Mathias Verelst kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmond Sellekaers. The Sparta Raptors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmond Sellekaers should have stopped the shot. Dante Dierickx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Kevin Vercammen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmond Sellekaers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Verelst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Dierickx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmond Sellekaers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daevy Stuijckens in the 86th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sparta Raptors's Dante Dierickx got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jim Styles charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
