The referee ignored Abrikoos's protests and gave Lukas Valckenaers a yellow card for diving instead. Matthy Van den Brul took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rens Van der Borght. Abrikoos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joos Jaddon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lukas Valckenaers hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roy Loos in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rens Van der Borght saved Abrikoos from getting behind. If Joos Jaddon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glen Vissenaekens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joos Jaddon in the 20th minute. Michael Leers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roy Loos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rens Van der Borght tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Abrikoos getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Lex Volckaerts hit a great ball. A collision led to Verrebeke getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Arnold De Block hit a great ball. If Joos Jaddon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joos Jaddon to strike the kick off in the second half. Glen Vissenaekens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joos Jaddon in the 53rd minute of the match. Roy Loos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Glen Vissenaekens came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Abrikoos's Joos Jaddon. But to his dismay, Joos Jaddon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Verrebeke's Glen Vissenaekens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joos Jaddon in the 70th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Rens Van der Borght successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Roy Loos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Roy Loos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rens Van der Borght saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Leers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Rens Van der Borght skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Michael Leers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rens Van der Borght having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Joos Jaddon notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Verrebeke's Glen Vissenaekens. Glen Vissenaekens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Verrebeke's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
