The supporters of krokante frietjes booed when Verrebeke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Loos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Verrebeke's Glen Vissenaekens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfried Ryers in the 26th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfried Ryers couldn't finish the play. Arnold De Block got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Arnold De Block hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Glen Vissenaekens came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by krokante frietjes's Edward Verhengen. But to his dismay, Edward Verhengen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 41st minute, Wilfried Ryers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfried Ryers struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Glen Vissenaekens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for krokante frietjes. krokante frietjes's Tony De Werdt got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Wilfried Ryers made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfried Ryers in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glen Vissenaekens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Wilfried Ryers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Glen Vissenaekens was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Glen Vissenaekens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Ryers, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, krokante frietjes's Wilfried Ryers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glen Vissenaekens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Glen Vissenaekens didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Edward Verhengen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Glen Vissenaekens skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Verrebeke getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Wesley Diericx hit a great ball. If Wilfried Ryers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded krokante frietjes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Verrebeke.
