The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joos Jaddon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glen Vissenaekens having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Abrikoos's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Loos came free, but Rens Van der Borght reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Abrikoos's Ramon Lenoir in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Verrebeke's goalie prevented a goal. Michael Leers might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rens Van der Borght. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Leers ran back to his position shaking his head. Ramon Lenoir struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Glen Vissenaekens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abrikoos. Joos Jaddon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramon Lenoir blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Glen Vissenaekens having to make a save. If Ramon Lenoir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Roy Loos made the kick off in the second half. Glen Vissenaekens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Lenoir in the 56th minute of the match. Glen Vissenaekens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joos Jaddon in the 59th minute. Abrikoos's Ramon Lenoir got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michael Leers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rens Van der Borght took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Loos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rens Van der Borght showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Leers, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Rens Van der Borght made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Loos in the 81st minute of play. Glen Vissenaekens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Lenoir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Verrebeke getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Joost Van Looy hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Lenoir in the 92nd minute of play forced Verrebeke's goalkeeper Glen Vissenaekens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
