Lou Geldhof started the match with the kick off. Pieter Van Maestricht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Mitch Castermans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pieter Van Maestricht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Castermans having to interfere. Lou Geldhof sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florian Van Severen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lou Geldhof in the 12th minute of the match. Joos Tombuer struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Florian Van Severen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Chaumont-Gistoux. After a rather tough play, Kortessem's Janes Biesen got a free kick in the 16th minute. A collision led to Kortessem getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Niel Verheijt hit a great ball. After 21 played minutes Kortessem got a freekick which was hit by Niel Verheijt. Lou Geldhof received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Florian Van Severen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lou Geldhof sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joos Tombuer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lou Geldhof in the 35th minute of play forced Kortessem's goalkeeper Florian Van Severen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lou Geldhof might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florian Van Severen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lou Geldhof ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Club Chaumont-Gistoux's Mitch Castermans got control of the ball when Niel Verheijt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florian Lambrecht during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Florian Lambrecht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 44 played minutes, Club Chaumont-Gistoux's Mattijs Christiaens shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Florian Van Severen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Chaumont-Gistoux reached it. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Pieter Van Maestricht made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Pieter Van Maestricht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitch Castermans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mitch Castermans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pieter Van Maestricht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lou Geldhof's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florian Van Severen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After 64 minutes, Janes Biesen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kortessem and the Club Chaumont-Gistoux players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Club Chaumont-Gistoux booed when Kortessem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janes Biesen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Club Chaumont-Gistoux's Mattijs Christiaens tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Miguel Grootaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Joos Tombuer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Florian Van Severen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joos Tombuer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Van Severen having to interfere. Florian Van Severen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joos Tombuer in the 80th minute. Niel Verheijt's late challenge caught a Club Chaumont-Gistoux's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niel Verheijt helped the player get up and apologised. Niel Verheijt hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes Kortessem got a freekick which was hit by Niel Verheijt. Diederiek Cappels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florian Van Severen came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Chaumont-Gistoux's Joos Tombuer. But to his dismay, Joos Tombuer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the final whistle sounded Club Chaumont-Gistoux left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kortessem.
