The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeffery Vandeput during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Franky Ceustermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Lemmens in the 10th minute of play. Mattias Wellens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Franky Ceustermans made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Goemyne in the 15th minute of play forced Kuza Viva FC's goalkeeper Sylven Reijckmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franky Ceustermans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herman Lemmens, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 22 played minutes Kuza Viva FC got a freekick which was hit by Geert Limpens. Oliver Goemyne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geert Limpens hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Wesley Blommaert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kuza Viva FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wesley Blommaert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franky Ceustermans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Franky Ceustermans was a little too slow when Wesley Blommaert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Herman Lemmens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliver Goemyne made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Geert Limpens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franky Ceustermans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley Blommaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Geert Limpens took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franky Ceustermans. Franky Ceustermans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Herman Lemmens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wesley Blommaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Franky Ceustermans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Wellens in the 70th minute of play forced FC Nieuwpoort's goalkeeper Franky Ceustermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Kuza Viva FC's Sylven Reijckmans got control of the ball when Jorg Deschrijver tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Mattias Wellens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kuza Viva FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mattias Wellens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Blommaert in the 77th minute of play forced FC Nieuwpoort's goalkeeper Franky Ceustermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wesley Blommaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Herman Lemmens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kuza Viva FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 84 minutes into the game, Kuza Viva FC's Herman Lemmens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franky Ceustermans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Wesley Blommaert took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franky Ceustermans. Franky Ceustermans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. There was no doubt that Kuza Viva FC were the better team. Kuza Viva FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
