Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Xander Verdun took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pino Biermans in the 3rd minute of play forced Zwartberg Zuid's goalkeeper Terry Godefroid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lex De Maerschalckx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xander Verdun in the 5th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in KV Malines's zone, Xander Verdun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lex De Maerschalckx came out of the goal and Xander Verdun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Terry Godefroid made an important save on a dangerous shot by Willem-Jan Van de Gaer in the 11th minute. After 11 minutes, Xander Verdun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zwartberg Zuid and the KV Malines players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Zwartberg Zuid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xander Verdun to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Pino Biermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terry Godefroid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mats van Bedts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mats van Bedts came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the KV Malines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mats van Bedts couldn't finish the play. Mats van Bedts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willem-Jan Van de Gaer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Terry Godefroid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mats van Bedts came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the KV Malines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mats van Bedts couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Zwartberg Zuid defense, Willem-Jan Van de Gaer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Terry Godefroid. The Zwartberg Zuid fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Terry Godefroid should have stopped the shot. Terry Godefroid was a little too slow when Mats van Bedts got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Mats van Bedts made the kick off in the second half. Terry Godefroid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats van Bedts, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Mats van Bedts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of KV Malines booed when Zwartberg Zuid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xander Verdun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mats van Bedts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Terry Godefroid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Joost Conincx couldn't finish the play. Xander Verdun hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. When Willem-Jan Van de Gaer came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the KV Malines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willem-Jan Van de Gaer couldn't finish the play. Mats van Bedts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mats van Bedts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terry Godefroid having to interfere. If Mats van Bedts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zwartberg Zuid's Terry Godefroid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willem-Jan Van de Gaer in the 84th minute of play. Terry Godefroid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mats van Bedts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Willem-Jan Van de Gaer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. KV Malines's Mats van Bedts got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. KV Malines's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
