Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Timy Smidts took the kick off in the first half of the match. Timy Smidts kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Willem-Jan Van de Gaer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Roel Voorhof tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lex De Maerschalckx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timy Smidts in the 7th minute of play. KAA Pepingen's Roel Voorhof played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats van Bedts in the 15th minute of play. After 24 minutes, Pino Biermans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KV Malines and the KAA Pepingen players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of KAA Pepingen booed when KV Malines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pino Biermans didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, KAA Pepingen's Luke Rompen tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute Timy Smidts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lex De Maerschalckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Pino Biermans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Timy Smidts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Mats van Bedts made the kick off in the second half. Gustave De Middeleer kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Harry Carpenter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Lex De Maerschalckx made a huge save. Lander Van Mellaert hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute of the match Lennert Van den Plas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roel Voorhof showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, KAA Pepingen's Gwenn Van der Veeren got a free kick in the 59th minute. If Gwenn Van der Veeren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KV Malines's Lex De Maerschalckx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timy Smidts in the 67th minute of play. Lex De Maerschalckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timy Smidts, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Fransesco De Werdt hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Harry Carpenter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Lex De Maerschalckx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willem-Jan Van de Gaer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roel Voorhof having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, KAA Pepingen's goal looked a bit too open when Mats van Bedts came free, but Roel Voorhof reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willem-Jan Van de Gaer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fransesco De Werdt hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Willem-Jan Van de Gaer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roel Voorhof having to interfere. If Mats van Bedts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The KV Malines supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KAA Pepingen's performance. The match ended with a win for KAA Pepingen.
