Spectators: 7411 (Terracing: 5634, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Timy Smidts kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats van Bedts in the 5th minute of play forced KAA Pepingen's goalkeeper Roel Voorhof to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, KAA Pepingen's goal looked a bit too open when Mats van Bedts came free, but Roel Voorhof reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mats van Bedts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roel Voorhof having to interfere. In the 20th minute, one of KV Malines:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KV Malines. KV Malines:s Lex De Maerschalckx showed great skill when he stopped Luke Rompen:s penalty. The supporters of KAA Pepingen booed when KV Malines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Joost Conincx didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timy Smidts in the 32nd minute of play forced KV Malines's goalkeeper Lex De Maerschalckx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roel Voorhof showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats van Bedts, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Mats van Bedts made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in KAA Pepingen's zone, Mats van Bedts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roel Voorhof came out of the goal and Mats van Bedts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roel Voorhof showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats van Bedts in the 62nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gwenn Van der Veeren during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to KAA Pepingen getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gwenn Van der Veeren hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Timy Smidts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KAA Pepingen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 95th minute, Gustave De Middeleer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, KV Malines's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Carpenter came free, but Lex De Maerschalckx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. KAA Pepingen had won after a very even match.
