Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ramon Vrancx started the match with the kick off. The supporters of FC Kamping booed when Sporting Club Gent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kajetan Laba didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes into the match, FC Kamping's Xavier Jaddon broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Vrancx in the 8th minute of play forced Sporting Club Gent's goalkeeper Andries Salms to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Club Gent's zone, Wesly Van Cleynenbreugel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andries Salms came out of the goal and Wesly Van Cleynenbreugel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kenn Martens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Johnsson in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Kamping's goalkeeper Kenn Martens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, FC Kamping's goal looked a bit too open when Cui Lin Zhou came free, but Kenn Martens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19thth minute of the game André Johnsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Kamping's Kenn Martens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aime Volckaerts during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 19 minutes into the game, one of FC Kamping:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cui Lin Zhou shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Bernard Oosters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Kenn Martens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Johnsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenn Martens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Johnsson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th match minute, Sporting Club Gent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Niedzwiecki to maneuver through the defense. Andries Salms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Vrancx in the 34th minute of play. In the 36thth minute of the game André Johnsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Kamping's Kenn Martens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Kamping's zone, Tobias Blixt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenn Martens came out of the goal and Tobias Blixt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the game, Sporting Club Gent's André Johnsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenn Martens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1.
In the 54th minute, FC Kamping's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tobias Blixt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. André Johnssons short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Kenn Martens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. During the 56th minute of the match Aime Volckaerts completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aime Volckaerts a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Aime Volckaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Wesly Van Cleynenbreugel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-2 became the score in the 65th minute when André Johnsson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. André Johnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Kenn Martens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sporting Club Gent played a much better game than FC Kamping and deserved their victory. The FC Kamping players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
