With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dominic Declerck in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jasper De Mijer saved Ad Fundum from getting behind. Arsene Sielens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stanny Marrant hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Thielemans in the 14th minute of play forced The Mean Petes's goalkeeper Jacky Van Caenegem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Ad Fundum's goalkeeper Jasper De Mijer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gill Castermans. Arsene Sielens took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacky Van Caenegem. Jacky Van Caenegem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The Mean Petes's Jacky Van Caenegem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsene Sielens in the 21st minute of play. After 23 played minutes Ad Fundum got a freekick which was hit by Gust Quintens. If Arsene Sielens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacky Van Caenegem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsene Sielens in the 30th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Gill Castermans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 46 minutes, Stanny Marrant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Mean Petes and the Ad Fundum players grew even worse after the yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dominic Declerck to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Arsene Sielens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacky Van Caenegem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brend Wiggers charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brend Wiggers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fred Thielemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. The supporters of Ad Fundum booed when The Mean Petes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxime Sabbe didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gill Castermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ad Fundum's Jasper De Mijer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Declerck in the 70th minute of play. Arsene Sielens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacky Van Caenegem was a little too slow when Arsene Sielens got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-2. Jacky Van Caenegem came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Ad Fundum's Fred Thielemans. But to his dismay, Fred Thielemans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 84 minutes into the game, Gill Castermans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Mean Petes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ad Fundum the free kick. Jacky Van Caenegem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arsene Sielens's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gill Castermans in the 91st minute of play forced Ad Fundum's goalkeeper Jasper De Mijer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Mean Petes's Dominic Declerck got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ad Fundum eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
